EIFF 2014 launch in one week
Four shorts in competition
One week to go till EIFF…
Four of the five shorts from the Scottish Shorts 2014 slate are in competition and will have their UK premiere next week at EIFF.
Ainslie Henderson & Will Anderson’s Monkey Love Experiments will have it’s UK and world premiere at the festival. It is also nominated for the prestigious McLaren Animation Award.
Martin Smith’s Seagulls will have its first UK screening following its world premiere at Berlin International Film Festival in February. It also played Hamburg International Short Film Festival in June. Seagulls will play in the Youth in Flames programme on 19th and 21st June.
Rory Alexander Stewart’s Wyld will have its world premiere at EIFF. This follows Julie Speers’ victory at the BAFTA New Talent Awards in the Best Acting Performance category in March. Wyld will play alongside Seagulls in the Youth in Flames programme.
Also having its UK and world premiere is Ian Waugh’s As He Lay Falling. It will play in the Scottish Shorts programme with Monkey Love Experiments, Seagulls, Wyld and Cara Connolly and Martin Clark’s Exchange and Mart.
The Edinburgh International Film Festival will run from 18th – 29th June. Tickets are on sale now for all events.
